Beneficiaries and Future Projections

Currently, around 9.3 million households are registered with BISP; this number is likely to go up to 10 million in the next year. Further help will support already enrolled families and open entry for new ones requiring support. This expansion underlines the BISP’s commitment to reaching out to more people and thus creating a maximum impact on the community.

Better Withdrawal Facilities

In addition to increasing the amount of assistance received, BISP has improved mechanisms through which the recipients can access their funds. While earlier the cash withdrawal depended on two banks only, the program now has an agreement signed with six more banks, thereby increasing accessibility for recipients in getting their money.

Withdrawal process is to be streamlined so that the families can receive easy access to their benefits.

Number of Banks for Withdrawals

The registered beneficiaries can withdraw their quarterly instalments of Rs 13,500 from the ATMs managed by various banks across the country. Those banks are:

  • Bank Al Falah
  • Bank of Punjab
  • Mobilink Microfinance
  • Telenor Microfinance Bank
  • Habib Bank Limited
  • HBL Microfinance

Beneficiaries can draw money from any ATM in Pakistan owned by one of these approved banks, thus providing them flexibility and saving time which earlier it took to access their cash.

BISP Kafaalat Impact

A higher Kafaalat installment transcends offering a sum of money to families; it symbolizes a bigger move toward the end of poverty in Pakistan. In giving more money to a family, BISP facilitates both economic and social welfare as it offers families the chance to live in hope.
It has contributed in improving the condition of families out of extreme conditions into poverty, where one is able to make savings for the future.

Conclusion

The recent hike in quarterly assistance offered by Kafaalat under BISP has proven to be a significant step forward in helping millions of low-income families across Pakistan. As the government expands its outreach and increases financial services, BISP continues to fulfill its goal of eradicating poverty by all means, and now increased assistance and better withdrawal facilities will make for an improved quality of life and better security concerning financial futures.
